azalea on the fence

I have hardly been out anywhere since lockdown. I am not complaining as I like being at home.

However, we did venture out locally for a slightly different change of scenery one day last week, me on my mobility scooter, so thoughtfully given to us by some friends who themselves have taken the challenge of an on-road scooter - so brave!!

In a nearby street I spied this vibrant azalea in a front garden.

I hadn't taken my camera so we went back a couple of days later and I got this shot.

Halfway home the heavens opened and I now know how wet one's knees can get sitting on a scooter in the rain! The scooter has a handy front basket and luckiIy there was a plastic bag in there which made an impromptu camera case.

So a special photo for Sunday's half and half!
