Around the start of the first Covid lockdown, my osteoarthritis took a down-turn leaving me only able to walk about 150m.
Imagine how thankful I was when friends generously gave us this scooter as they were upgrading to a roadworthy scooter (which will always be a step too far for me!)
I was a bit shaky to start with, also a bit self-conscious, but was soon doing passable 3-point turns. (Don't ask Ray for verification....)
The scooter has enabled us to have outings to local gardens, seasides and National Trust Properties during a time of mainly stay-at-home directives.
So 'thankful' is not really even an adequate word.
Glad you found a solution to help you get around and at little cost. Is there anything you can do to help reverse, at least in part, the severity of the symptoms?
Good question, Joanne! Have tried loads of different things and nothing has made much difference until I went on a vegetarian diet 3 weeks ago which has given me better sleep which in turn makes me more able to deal with the pain.
It must be so chilly you look really rugged up.
Yes, I wanted to have the camera in the pic. I do have 2 a6000 bodies, must take both!!
