"Stands the church clock at ten to three

And is there honey still for tea"

Posted for Mayhalf21. I have always liked these lines from Rupert Brooke but recently found the whole poem online, very long and mostly not so cosy.

My clock is the stables clock at Mottisfont Abbey.
I always quote the poem every time I am in Grantchester. I love the church there (though if I were vicar, I would have the clock hands permanently set to ten to three!) and I love wandering along the lane to The Old Vicarage, where Rupert Brooke had a rented room behind its ivy covered walls. Jeffery and Mary Archer live there now!
I like your half and half.

@shutterbug49

It's taken me quite a while to catch a clock at the correct time! As Hamlet said " I am but mad nor /nor-west"!!
