I think he's wondering where his breakfast has gone. Mama seems to refuse to feed him and he is reduced to scrabbling on our deck for bits of fat ball which drop from the feeder.
I've seen mama feed an older sibling who already has his red livery and I found online that robins can have up to 3 broods per season.
I tried throwing down seed but the pigeons grabbed it before the baby robin came back.
Poor little guy seems to be getting the short end of the stick here. Don't think I've ever seen one of your baby robins before they get their iconic red breasts. ( lovely capture of him BTW ).
