a special vase

My fossicking friend gave me this dear little vase.

To explain 'fossicking' which was new to me I have found synonyms of 'rummaging' or 'prospecting'. In her case I believe fossicking takes place at a special place and special time......

The vase is tiny and was great for holding the 2nd flush of flowers in the hyacinth bulbs we bought already potted.

It’s beautiful. Without your explanation I would have taken it for a good sized vase with large flowers (like lilies or something) not the dainty little thing you describe.

Glad to find others who had not heard of fossicking! This vase is really tiny and so useful for making something out of nothing very much - such as 2nd class hyacinths! It was shot macro plus cropped a bit in post-processing.
