memories of my mother

Posting my parents' wedding photo for'canations' today has made me realise that in two days' time (twelfth night indeed) it will be 27 years since my mother died. I've uploaded several posts here on 365 about my father, mainly about his time as a prisoner of war. http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/add-ins/2012-05-07
So I thought I'd put together today a collection of photos of my mother as a small tribute to her. I love the main shot where she is seen with their Cairn terrier puppy, Brinnie, only a few weeks old. who became our dog after her death. There's even another carnation photo (bottom left) white ones this time when my mother was a bridesmaid.
Lovely collage and a very nice tribute.

They're beautiful - I love middle right. I have very few young photos of my parents - I suppose they were taking pics of us if at all. And there are very few of me - I suppose I should sort that out in case the kids ever want any!

@judithg I love that one too which was taken at my sister's wedding but I have ho idea what was causing such merriment for my father! He was a keen (old-school/equipment) photographer so we are lucky to have loads of pics of everything. He used to meticulously record information, sometimes including technical details about the photos.

Just found this! Was looking at your fat free cake stall....yeah right!! lol
My eye wandered over your recent pics. What a lovely tribute....27 years is a long time to be without your mum.....mine still battles on at 85! A nice way to use your carnation day.

@Cherrill I think the chap on the fat free cake stall was a tad worried that it would be identified but I reassured him that it would be anonymous! My mother died very suddenly one New Year at our house and I was very ill (with an existing condition) for almost two years afterwards, in and out of hospital, so being able to do this collage was quite cathartic and I felt good after I had done it. I've long since got used to being without any of my immediate family. (It's good to see you back on 365).
