We will call this an old fashion `` rijtjeshuis ``More then 50 % of the Dutch people live in houses like this one. The differents ; , they are more modern and they have a ( small )yard before the house and on the back side.
( I did want to make a pic of those houses yesterday but my camera fail )

@sheilag There are a few such old houses in this little market town. I'd love to live in one - if they had garages or at least some parking spaces!

@pyrrhula

Sorry about your camera. (Is it an excuse to get a new one?!) These houses have what we would call a courtyard garden behind the house. Most housing in England is more modern. These are in BIshops Waltham, a market town, about 4 miles from us. The town has some individual and different shops and eating places.

@quietpurplehaze It was n`t broken, sometimes they have a will of there own and it was to cold to take the attention it needed . I`m to miserly my wife says to buy a new one if I`ve one

@pyrrhula I've got a camera like that - I call it 'capricious'. I bought a second one when I went on holiday in case the first one failed completely. But I only buy inexpensive point and shoot cameras. (Being miserly is not a bad attribute in today's consumer society, I think!)

@quietpurplehaze I don't know . . . what's that on the far right, bottom double window? . . . :)
