..when friends are coming to dinner. Just showing off one of the puddings, chocolate mousse, which I've made for tonight. (We don't all have to share that one!!)
The decorating 'saga' continues. We did quite well this morning, with Ray doing the lion's share of the work, as usual. He went off to play tennis this afternoon and I did the prep for the meal. When I tried to get into the bedroom to get some glad rags to put on after my shower, the door wouldn't open. So we all had an unsuccessful try and then the ladder was taken out of the garage and Neil was elected to climb up and get in the bedroom window which luckily had been left open so the paint could dry. He found that the spindle had come out of the handle because the door knob on the inside had been left off.
How nice it will be when the decorating is finished!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
What a lovely image Hazel! (and I don't mean you panicking over not being able to get into the bedroom!) the little floral arrangement is truly beautiful, those colours are delicious together! What are the yellow flowers? Have a wonderful evening and enjoy those chocky puds!
The yellow flower in the front is a double daffodil and the other two are yellow pansies which I've never picked before but they don't seem to mind and haven't drooped so far! All the flowers are from the garden.
Always think : When this become history you have a laugh for it .
Beautiful decoration of flowers , yummy for the mousse and `` have a drink on me/you``
Thank you, Barbara Sue! It wasn't planned to do decorating and a dinner on the same day but happened because of the delays getting the chimney etc sorted. Our friend, Sylvie, said she didn't mind that I had changed but still hadn't put my face on when she arrived!!!!! (Soon remedied!)
You COULD say that, Darren!
thank you, Karin!

The choc mousse is so easy and takes less than 10 easy minutes to prepare!
