Galanthus Plicatus aka Ukrainian snowdrop

I just felt it was very poignant to see the name of these snowdrops on a little plaque behind this clump. Apparently the habitat where they are well established is the Crimean mountains and soldiers returning from the Crimean war introduced them to England.
I took the photo in the garden of Wakes House, Selborne.
Beautiful! I am enjoying spring early :)

A lovely sign of spring. I won't see mine for quite a while, given all of the snow we have.

I know you`ve you difficulty with writing flower names . Now you`re nearly right. Nearly, as only the first name is written with a capital letter . : Galanthus plicatus . But who`s care?
