We met Hunter and his owner at the country park and heard his story: he was a labrador gun dog in training in Ireland but kept barking and chasing everything that flew. So his first nine months were not happy ones. Then he went to rescue and from there came to Hampshire.
His owner told us that the last 3 years training Hunter have been really demanding and that he is still so active that he has to eat twice the recommended amount for a dog his size just in order to maintain his weight. Happy in the River Hamble!
Lovely wTer action Hazel. We once had a gun dog trainer stay with us fir B&B & he told us he would never train a chocolate Labrador , they are too dippy & full of energy & he called them untrainable! This one looks a bit chocolatey!
He was actually golden but I didn't get the light quite right, did try to rectify it in post processing but failed!!
