@doblaine@cleanfreak These are all Betty's photographs - I think she was avant-garde in the photography stakes with her Kodak 'pull out' camera which had a self timer.
I guess they were all very young as Betty was only 17 when she started this work in 1942. In the picture top right Betty is wearing part of her walking- out uniform.
@creativeamateur Thanks for your comments. I only really realised how young they all were when I did this collage. They had their moments of fun as well as hard work!
@judithg When Betty goes to the doctor or dentist etc, she often tells me there is a slightly strange moment when the receptionist or nurse comes out with her records in their hand and says politely and incredulously, "Mrs S........, is this your correct age?" or some similar question......
