I was lost looking at the boat and then I noticed the 2 tone colours of the reeds - green and brown. Is the river tidal because the water level is very low at the time of the photo?

@doblaine Oh, well spotted. I had no idea but have done a google on your behalf and find the River Charente is tidal between Rochefort and St Savinie - something like 23km by road.
