Un recteur de l'Ile de Sein: for French Lit group;
French dictionary: to look up 'la chienlit' = havoc, chaos, and very true for Jinks' dog bed when he gives it 'what for' (plus other stuff which I shall not mention here on 365) after his tea.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
At my place, the 'coffee table' books are the ones I'm actually reading/using. Had to chuckle at Jinks' unmentionable behaviour. We had a dog that used to give the basketball special attention every night after dinner!
Yes. My coffee table has opened envelopes and a drawing for a St.Pixels Event awaiting layers of gouache to, (hopefully), make it eye-catching.... I wonder whether that would make a good photograph....
It was a French novel I have just finished. The reason I removed it was
practical: because the lettering on the spine was in a different orientation from the other books. So the book would need to be upside down on the pile to read the title!!! (Hope you can understand this! I think you were thinking there was some other reason!!!!!))
Yes I think that's the same for my 'coffee table' books - I thought the headmistress had other ideas of the definition of a 'coffee table' book!
Wonder why that doggy behaviour is always after dinner? No need for any answer!
Hazel, something else we have in common then! Well, this was mostly unstaged, apart from taking one book out of the pile!
I just wish I could understand a bit more of that Spanish book for 12 year olds!!!

Do you understand or write French ?
Yes, my French is fluent. I haven't seen that on Facebook - but I don't look at it very often.....
Horrid, here, raining and raining........
