I don't quite agree with your comment on the other page that the whole is not abstract. Actually, it's a pretty non-realistic depiction of a tree, which I think of as one of the definition of abstract. I really like the print and the shot, BTW.

That's interesting and you've got me having recourse to my Collins!
I suppose I thought of the extract as not being recognisable (dictionary= 'hard to understand') but that the whole can be recognised as a tree, although real trees don't actually look like that. I asked Ray at breakfast this morning and he immediately said that the print is abstract!
