We had a trip on the 'marais'. I was hoping for some spectacular bird shots but I was too busy holding on to the little wooden seat in the little wooden 'barque' to wield the camera efficiently. So this is my best pic! Monsieur told us he had no sense of direction and that he only knew he'd gone too far when he found himself under the bridge at St Nazaire! Then he said his father and grandfather both died whilst on the 'marais'. Fortunately by then I'd realised that he was 'rigolo' (joker) (We saw herons, cormorants, an egret and a spoonbill.)
