The tastiest meal we had in a restaurant in France this time was a 'menu ouvrier'. I jokingly asked the waitress if we were entitled to have a workman's lunch and she said equally jokingly yes because I was wearing a checked blouse. 3 courses for €11 and this was my pudding. The starter was a buffet salad, the only disappointment being that the workmen who had got there before us had eaten all the langoustines. The main course was a delicious 'poulet basquaise'. Vive la France (practising for tomorrow)!
Yes enjoyed, yes, no regrets - it's the angle that I took the shot that makes the pie look a little large!!!!!!!!! Very hot here today, around 30C too hot to move really.
I hardly dare say that it was all mine and I ate it all! (Probably looks bigger in the shot than it really was....)
