Lots of tiny dusty-looking spiders' webs on the hedges, bushes and small trees this morning. We walked down to the village, up the hill and back again to call at our 'corner shop' (Tesco Express) to buy milk. We met some of Jinks' friends: a young lady who used to work at the animal sanctuary; also Jinks' best friend Ollie the Collie. I mentioned taking this shot of Jinks to Ollie's owner http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/just-another/2014-01-20 He then told us that Ollie has only been left home alone once. This was as a puppy and when they returned they found he had opened a supposedly closed window and was sitting on the roof of their bungalow.
That was quite funny and out of character. Ollie the collie goes on walks with his owner off-lead around busy traffic streets and is so obedient it's not true. When he gets home from the morning walk he has toast with marmalade for breakfast - so I'm told!
