My French group was cancelled this morning so we decided to go to Exbury Gardens. It's very dog-friendly and dogs are even allowed in the restaurant and there are several dog bowls full of fresh water outside.
This field of daffodils slopes down to Beaulieu River.
I used 'clone & heal' on FastStone to make Jinks' lead disappear - no possible chance of him being outside off the lead.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
A surprise trip out for Jinks then.....lucky boy! He is looking very handsome among the daffodils, like your composition showing him off at his very best! Clever you re lead....sounds complicated
Jinks in de bloemetjes. A Dutch saying for when someone have a celebration (S)He will be sitting between many flowers .
A beautiful view on this nice country too.
Incredible picture. Reminds me of an area at the edge of a park where someone had planted a large area with what they said was 1000 bulbs. We used to run there and I would take a friends dogs on the run.
That sounds lovely, Richard. There used to be daffodils with pink trumpets at Exbury but sadly they have vanished. Thank you so much for your comment and the fav. (I'll try to explain it to Jinks!!)
Good shot as it is, but another possibility would be to crop off the right 1/3, and the sky, to create a photo that concentrates on Jinks looking at the flowers. I realize that it would be an entirely different photo, but I think it would be fun.
Margaret - you've hit on a truth there. For some reason he just loves cocking his leg up against daffodils!!!!
We call that his 'Winston Churchill' face!
Judith, you have absolutely got to be joking!!
Lovely shot

It's incredibly easy - but after all I've said in the past about post processing, I'm surprised that I'm indulging in it!!!
