Mr J B Bowler already owned an engineering firm when he decided to open a soft drinks factory around 1860. At the Museum of Bath at Work, his factory, which traded for 100 years, has been re-created. Plenty of photo ops and all the bottles, especially, caught my eye. These are clean, waiting for re-filling.
Unhappily, opening this factory was not all profit for Mr Bowler as a daughter (one of his 13 children) working there lost an eye when a bottle exploded.

Just drying I think - I doubt they would be filled this way up. Did you see my other bottle shot I flagged up in my commentary above? I might post one or two more - shall be pleased to think you show them to your students.
Great shot of the bottle filling machine. Love the sepia looks. Makes it more authentic .
Thank you for the fav. dear Hazel. I`m glad you ( and all visitors) did like it.
Pipe to be filled or just drying? Fav
