another day, another prey.... by quietpurplehaze

another day, another prey....

The day after I took this shot, the prey had completely disappeared.

I remember telling somebody on 365 that I am not afraid of spiders. This one didn't scare me but yesterday when I opened the cupboard to get the flour out to make the gravy a huge one with long legs appeared, moving very quickly - I think I called for help!

The prey looks like one of the endearing soft-orange-coloured bees who have been buzzing around the blue caryopteris in the garden.
Ah poor bee.

Sam
I'm glad you are not scared of spiders - I am!!! But my husband hates them more than I do, so I'm usually the one pushed to the front to get rid of one when they appear!

Poor little bee it is a bit tied up at the moment and the spider looks like he has eaten too much pudding. A great capture reminds me of the film The Fly.

What a great close up. Definitely a survival of the fittest story. You should see some of our spiders out here.
