A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Thank you - I just used the same adjective to describe your owl shot - a coincidence as I hadn't looked at what you wrote here when I made the comment.
Great shot. I also tried shooting some bees yesterday on the flowers on one of my orange trees, but either the light was bad or my hand was shaky (or both) because they all came out blurry. I took a look at your shutter speed and aperture on this shot -- I'll try to adjust mine accordingly next time. But how do you get the bee to be so cooperative? Mine kept trying to hide! ;-)
That's lovely Hazel, well captured. Congrats on TP! I noticed on my walk round the woods this morning that the willow flowers were coming out, and thinking 'you should have had your camera with you!'.
The temperature was only 8C although it was sunny so I guess the bees were a bit cold and not so active. You probably have warmer weather and faster bees. Good luck!

8C is the middle of winter here! It's been around 20C, maybe a little bit more. Our bees would freeze if it were that cold!
