Bentley

I went to South Pond to see if the geese were about and chanced upon this miniature dachsie, 10 weeks old. He looks quite big in his owner's arms but was really sooooo small!

I had the long zoom on my camera (for obvious reasons when visiting my friends the geese) and I don't think Bentley was too happy about it, although I did have to step back a bit to get the shot.
Hazel, a gorgeous pic. of this delightful little pup -- such a doleful expression !

Always a treat when you get an unexpected shot! Today a dog as well as a goose - for tomorrow!

What an adorable capture, he looks a little unsure of himself.

@paulaw

The photo doesn't show just how tiny he is - about the size of a chihuahua - the weeds by the pond must look like trees to him!

It wasn't obvious from behind he camera how worried he looked! I took 3 shots and he closed his eyes as I took the other two.

What an adorable face. He does look quite large, guess their head is bigger then their bodies when they are this size.

Awesome picture. My parents had 2 during the time I was growing up. They were so cute. Congratulations on making the Trending Page and the PP. Well deserved.

@agedrunner

I agree they are cute little dogs. My sister always had dachsies, two at a time, until the last one which was a wire-haired dachsie called Truffle, a real character!
