I met Bill on a bright, sunny morning, over the fields with his two young labs, Molly (black) and Milly (golden). Bill recently retired from BT and is enjoying semi-retirement, doing a little driving work as and when.
What you can't see, is that Bill is also holding Jinks' lead as I didn't want to take my first pic in this new venture one-handed.
Guess this is going to keep me occupied for ages so thanks (I think!) to Phil @phil_howcroft
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Tony, thank you for the support. I was all ready to say that I felt I could not do this - not because of approaching folk but because of the scale of the project - and then I met Bill when I was walking Jinks, and now I'm hooked!
A wonderful portrait .Well done. I like the idea and did this a while back ( in my 4th album ) but I found this extremely difficult to start taking to strangers but I want to renew this project of mine.
Great shot and always good to have a chat to strangers, you meet so many interesting people this way. As you know I do a Friday people photo and most of my Friday people are strangers who I have 'accosted' on the street to take their photos. I've met some really great people along the way. Good luck with your project.
whey heyyyyyyyyyyyy . The journey starts, well done haze and a great shot to begin with. nice bokeh, good detail in the face and hair. It will be nice to have a 365 buddy to share the journey with :) Take a peek at the flickr group for tips and inspiration. Bill looks a happy fella :) FAVED
Phil, thank you for enthusiastic comments - and fav. I nearly sent you a message to say I thought I wouldn't cope with this. But now I'm glad I've got started. And yes, some 'interesting' comments. (Away for a few days but will have a look on Flickr when we are home.)
Thanks for comments. I've thought long and hard and if I don't finish I don't finish - but I'll have had part of the journey at least!
I hadn't even thought of that category of scary, Linda!
Why is it scary for you?
