Osmington White Horse by quietpurplehaze

Osmington White Horse

This hill figure was sculpted in 1808 into the limestone Osmington hill just north of Weymouth.

The figure is of King George III, who regularly visited Weymouth, and made it a popular seaside resort.

My shot is from our trip to Weymouth in September.

At last today we have some blue sky and sunshine so must try to get out for a photoshoot, although feeling lacking in energy.

Very splendid - possibly vain but if somebody wanted to make my silhouette in a hill I wouldn't complain!
