lingering

A late flower in the walled garden. I think it could be a helenium.

We are promised Storm Clodagh here in Britain today. The wind is certainly getting a bit fresh already although I guess we shall escape the worst here in the south.
Beautiful colours and patterns in those petals. Lovely shot :)

It's blowing a hoolie here in oxon Hazel. I would have guessed that this was a rudbeckia, but I often confuse the two. Great colours.

Storm Clodagh is truly here, wild & windy & wet. Main line railway line is blocked by fallen trees so they are bussing our daughter who is stuck in Carlisle home to Preston. Been in Carlise for an hour already & she has to wait another two for the caches to come......nightmare!

I really like this. Sometyhing aboput the combination of the sharp spikey leaves in the back and the lovely warm colours blending together in the flower. Feels like fall somehow.
