the ghost of Jacob Marley by quietpurplehaze

the ghost of Jacob Marley

Down in the cellarium at Mottisfont, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of Jacob Marley who shows that his self-serving, greedy life has condemned his spirit to wander the earth in heavy chains and tries to warn Scrooge about the error of his ways.

I have to say that if this ghost is supposed to look as if it's wandering in the fires of hell on earth, I think it looks more like an exotic princess - if you disregard the chains of course.

This photo is sooc so perhaps I used the wrong settings, or lens even!
Amazing Hazel -- my first thought was clever edit !! but whatever you did the image and lighting is so effective --fav

I don't lnow - a faceless face is always pretty scary. We are big fans of the Muppet version in our house!

I love the layering of the lighting, red up to the yellow, and the fact that the figure is faceless - they combine to make it both beautiful and a little bit eerie at the same time. Made me think of a mythological captive rather than Jacob Marley until I read the description though. :)
