Brother Andrew in b&w by quietpurplehaze

Brother Andrew in b&w

I've been looking back through my strangers' portraits and I found that out of 35 portraits, I posted just 4 in b&w.

So I've converted a few to see which lend themselves more to b&w. I think this one of Brother Andrew has enough different tones and textures.

Constructive criticism welcome.
It looks lovely to me.

I agree, it works well in b&w.

it works well , the only minor issue i have is the crop off the top of his head. It is OK to crop off the top, many portraits do, but the crop is so little it distracts as it is neither here or there (if you see what i mean) . fine shot otherwise

Hope my comment above wasn't too harsh. I feel as though my critique was a bit over the top as you know about the head crop anyway ☺☺

No, NOT at all - I'm going to repost the shot - later - just going out for breakfast! Happy Sunday, Phil! (Good news in the paper for the Wanderers?!)
