Photo 1276
in the garden
I've tried to make this fritillaria a bit low-key with some shadow and heightened contrast.
How, I ask myself, could I possibly convert a beautiful purple flower into b&w - must be feeling brainwashed!
I do think it emphasizes the chequer board pattern of the petals.

I prefer the 'natural' colour, Hazel. Makes me feel a little bit gloomy.

Hazel, you are going to need a lie down, converting a purple flower to b&w. ha ha. Looks good though, but I think I would prefer the colour version. Flowers don't look quite right in b&w do they.

I'll find somewhere to lie down with Jinks! Although he is full of beans, minus ten teeth, this morning!
