Today we went to the Eden Project. We met Ellie at the Baobab and Rum Bar in the Rainforest Biome where she was making and selling baobab smoothies to customers.
Ray bought us one between two as we were a bit unsure if we'd like it: (Ingredients: banana, baobab, coconut, kaffir lime leaves, panela sugar).
We did like it - but there had been the option of including a shot of rum which perhaps would have given it a bit of punch!
I digress: Ellie was OK(ish) about having her photo taken but said she didn't 'make a good photo'. We only chatted briefly before several customers arrived and I just found out that she been working at Eden for 8 months.
When it was quiet again, I talked a bit more with Ellie and discovered that what she'd done before working here was to take, and pass, A-levels in English, Law and Psychology. I wondered if she had plans to take up her studies again but she told me she tends to take life as it comes.
I think the baobab tree is also called the tree of life.
