the spider and the hydrangea
This little spider was sitting in his web hanging from the leaf of a hydrangea in a pot on the patio last night.
I found him still there this morning so I took his photo. (Have no idea how to sex a spider....)

"Have no idea how to sex a spider...." probably just as well, I mean, how intimate do you want to get with a spider? I'd be more concerned with, "does it bite"?

At first I was going to send a link to info about brown recluse spiders but then realized that they are in the US so I searched out a more geographically appropriate, scary page.

I think it's a green orb spider

Thank you so much for that - it's definitely a green orb spider, only one so cannot compare it but suspect it's a male, so small!
