My mother was born on this day, April 20th, in 1920, and when I realised the date I thought to post this shot as a tribute to her.

She was a country girl and I think she would have appreciated this view of the scarecrow and his dog in the walled garden at Hinton Ampner.

She also loved her home and garden.

As I read that today was your mother's birthday, it didn't strike me that you're into a new day there in England. My Dad's birthday was April 19 ('13) I wouldn't want to forget him either...and he loved being out in the garden, too!We were blessed to have had good folks... Your photo is very endearing.
