A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Really like this, I might suggest that you crop out the top and stem of the glass or maybe have more than one glass. The clarity of the refraction is beautiful.
I did think of cropping out the top of the glass but that would leave me with a bit of pink tulip adrift on the right of the shot. I cannot think how to use 2 glasses! The main problem, I think is that the tulips and the wineglass are not juxtaposed correctly - more work needed!
this is pretty, what would it look like if cropped to portrait I wonder? Would still see the glass and the refracted pink petals would look a tad abstractish. It is very pretty without any tamperring though
It took me lots of failures to do this type of shot. I found that lights on either side of the glass was a good idea and also the camera on a tripod set further back and zoomed slightly made the object in the glass sharper. The third tip is make sure there are no drips of water on the top of the glass.
Pam, thank you - it took me too many shots to achieve it!

Thanks, Babs!
