Those clogs had been moved from the top of the little step ladder into a basket on the ground beside a very colourful coffee table, of which you can only see red.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
You've stirred a memory for me of my dad in his book writing that he bought some clogs to wear, think it was working in the cement factory, and said they were comfortable.
@quietpurplehaze
That's a lovely clog, Hazel. The advertisement doesn't mention the material. The clog itself can't be put in the washing machine, but it's possible to put the inside 'voetbed' (I can't find the English word) in the machine.
But are they comfortable?!!

p.s. don't think you could drive in them
Bep, thank you. These look lovely: https://www.beslist.nl/products/schoenen/schoenen_430878/c/kleur~430774#/modal=browse/mcatid=32000/mitemid=18990528/mshopid=195770/mshopitemid=756451119/
p.s. I can't understand if they are leather/wood? And I think you can put them in the washing machine?

Oh thank you I think it means either the lining or the inner sole can be washed.
Would they fall off?!
Yes, it's the inner sole..
So I shall try to remember the Dutch for inner sole in case I can work it into a conversarion sometime?! Voetbed seems like foot bed to me.
