I think it's obvious that these cliffs are just along from the white cliffs of Dover.
On our approach to Samphire Hoe, we felt sorry for the queue of stationary lorry drivers on the opposite carriageway waiting to get into the port. We estimated that it stretched for around 3 miles.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Lovely shot. Good that you were travelling in the opposite direction to the heavy traffic.
Whenever I hear the song White Cliffs of Dover I think of my Nanna. She always used to have a bit of sing song when we visited and one of her favourites was The White Cliffs of 'Clover' which she sang with gusto. Nobody ever told her that she had the words wrong and we always hid our smiles and chuckles as she sang.

You have reminded me of my nana telling us that her enemies (anemones) were coming up in the garden. ( We did not tell her either!)
I like 'almost surreal'!
