Sweet capture. Hubby tells me it's a Herdwick sheep. He remembers these sheep from our holidays in the Lake District.

Thank you both. Ray says he thinks it does not look quite like a Herdwick but I have found examples of black (not brown!) Herdwick sheep online so perhaps that's it.
