...viewed from the entrance porch to the Brethren's Hall. This church is the only surviving 12th century part of the Almshouse; the other buildings are 15th century.

I'm always amazed at the age of buildings in Europe. Here, something 150 years old is very old indeed. The framing in your photo is beautiful.

Norman! Oldest building in this city dates from 1842. Nicely framed through the arch.
