the crescent moon by randystreat

the crescent moon

The sky was so fabulous last evening. Clouds, yet not overcast. This was shot looking out the window into the sky over the neighbor's house.
Well seen & captured

What an awesome shot. Love the silo wets (auto correct) so now I have to figure out what a silo wet is : )

Nice evening sky in B/W Kathy.

Do you have an editor at all Kathy? If you do, you might get ambitious and shoot two images (on a tripod of course) one with focus sharply at infinity on the moon and one sharply on the trees, and then merge them together. When it's an issue of focus difference alone it's called "focus stacking." And remove some (most?) of the digital noise from the clouds and sky. This is a perfect frame to do that. Good shooting!

@frankhymus Thank you. An editor? Like Photoshop Elements? I don't have one right now, but plan to get one. I appreciate the info. I'd like to do something more with my photos but will have to settle for what I can do on iPhoto for the time being. Actually, it forces me to be fairly basic; to learn how to use the tools on my camera and to try and to take my time and compose my shots. I do like the things you do with your photos.

@randystreat Yes Photoshop. It is complex and not inexpensive, but it is the Cadillac in the field. Good luck and good shooting.

@frankhymus Thanks Frank. I really appreciate your tips and your feedback. I can only help me improve my skills.
