I've been working on packing up my mother's belongings, so spent a couple hours there this afternoon.

Unusual shot...feedback? Perhaps let the viewer get a glimpse at some of the contents, sort of disturbed mid-pack. Then you could introduce some more texture, key colour and/or personal history into the composition.
