Christmas ornaments

A scanned project. I like the 3-D effect this sort of photo has. Learned that perhaps just because higher numbers of dpi has more information, it doesn't make the product any better. I worked on this thing all evening and into the wee hours of the morning. My computer was slow and not cooperating at all!
A great capture of those beautiful Christmas ornaments

Turned out really well, you should tag it technique-65.
I llike the silver stars. Did you cover the Christmas balls with black paper?

@pyrrhula Thank you Pyrrhula
@overalvandaan Thank you so much. I will tag it. I covered them with a black shawl. The little stars were part of a garland thet I had tried to entwine in the balls. That didn't work because it was too stiff. However, the stars fell off, so I used them.

And by that, the falling of, it has given a sense of depth.

Certainly makes for an interesting shot, Kathy, although I'm not sure I understand how you did it. Too technical for me!

@ziggy77 Thank you Jo
@kwind Thank you. They are probably family (parents' or grandparents') but I have bought a few vintage ornaments at antique stores in the past, so not sure.
@peterlgrave Thank you Peter. I should have stayed much lower as I don't plan to enlarge. But that's good to know for future reference.
@digitalrn Thank you Rick
@jamibann Thanks Issi. My printer is also a copier/scanner. I put them on the scanner bed, covered them with a black shawl and made a jpeg scan. Voila! Instant image. I think you have to play with the objects a bit to find what will work best as far as sealing out other light, the placement of the objects, etc.

Good work! I tried that the other day but wasn't pleased with the results. I'll have to try again.

@s4sayer Thank you. I wish I could say I thought it up all myself. I learn a lot at Photo Club and on this site.
