Medical helicopter

I live about 2 miles as the crow flies from the hospital. The medical helicopter, which transports patients to a higher level of care, has been active lately.

No need to comment. Trying to catch up.

@olivetreeann My friend who traveled with me the past few weeks was airlifted from our town to Charlotte NC in June of 2016. She says she doesn't remember a thing. She was pretty darn sick!

Great catch. We have charity helicopters in the UK and very lucky to have them. Often those who have needed to use them raise money for their upkeep. Personally, I think they are worth every penny and should be Govt. funded but not my decision (if only!)

@mandygravil I believe my insurance will pay for a trip if needed. However, it's pretty pricey. I forget how much my friend said it cost. (Hers paid by insurance too).
