The pigs, who are waiting for the weekly Pigmania game, note that there is a plate of Welsh cakes. And boy do they smell good.
PS they taste good too! Thanks Auntie Mary. Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus! A bit belated.
@francoise They may be Francoise. One never knows. @365anne Ann, 3 other 365'ers and I play the game known as Pigmania (or Pass the Pigs) on a video chat weekly we have such a good time. One member is interested in Welsh heritage and it was her idea for us to make Welsh cakes. I don't know if you bake (and I'm not much of a baker) but these were easy enough to make. It would bring you some good memories to make them. @sunnygirl Thanks Mallory. Just fun. @haskar Thank you.
I’ll bet they didn’t last long after the pigs tucked into them. Good thing they were too busy competing during the game to eat very many. I love the photo. The red in the background nicely sets off the heaping mound of Welsh cakes and balances the shot.
@francoise Did your pig family celebrate National Pig Day (March 1st) on Monday? It’s St. David’s Day also. (Patron saint of Wales) and thus the excuse to make and eat Welsh Cakes.
@mcsiegle Mr. Pig and crystal are busy suffering through the traumas of being parents of adolescents and have little energy leftover for any kinds of celebration...
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you Jackie for comments and the amusing alliteration. @grammyn Thanks Katy. They are too good. Half gone. Of course, I did give a few away, but more went in the old tum-tum. @pyrrhula They were. They don't get treats very often. Thanks Ferry. @olivetreeann Thank you Ann. These are pretty tasty and not too terribly difficult to make, especially if you make them, then let them sit in the refrigerator until you need them. It helps to have an electric griddle, too. @jb030958 We had a grand time. Thank you Jennie. @kjarn We've been having a good time without the food and now that we're eating more... Well, what's not better with food. It becomes a bit of a celebration. @pusspup Yes Ma'am. @aikiuser Thanks Jenn. It was. @mcsiegle I'd say they're about half gone. Awaiting a shipment today. Thanks Mary. I kind of like the geranium bloom in the shot, even if it has nothing to do with it, except it's right there where I play. @francoise How long do pigs stay with their parents?
