Thanks to all of you for putting this photo on the Trending Page. @30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you Jackie. I liked the scalloped sepal. I never paid much attention to them before. @ziggy77 Thank you Jo. @grammyn Thanks so much Katy. @pyrrhula Thank you very much Ferry. @kjarn Thank you so much Kathy. @summerfield I've had zinnias for years but never noticed the buds before I took this. Where have I been and what was I looking at?! Thank you Vikki. @brillomick Zinnias are a lot of bang for the buck, so to speak. The quintessential flower of summer, except for maybe sunflowers. Thanks Mickey. @jamibann Thank you Issi. @777margo Thank you very much for your views and your comments Margo. @pusspup Thank you Wylie. I need to look at things more carefully and mindfully. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian.
I love these flowers in every stage. The patterns on the buds are really pretty, the flowers even prettier. They didn't have them in when we were at the nursery or I would have planted them again this year. And I agree with you- the quintessential flower of summer along with Sunflowers!
@julie Thank you Julie. @olivetreeann I plant seeds Ann. Makes it hard to keep the garden weed-free, but probably would do better if it were less weedy to start with. I usually sow a whole packet or more of seeds in a small area and don't thin them. @haskar Thank you. @homeschoolmom Thanks.
