@kjarn Thank you Kathy . This is my first Anne Tyler book. The author was recommended by a friend who reads a lot.it seems @amyk likes this author too. I'll have to let you know. So far it's good but just not sure where it's going.

@amyk Thanks Amy. A friend of mine said she like this author and when I saw the book in a thrift shop I thought why not try it. So far so good. halfway through and I'm not sure how it's going to end.

@mcsiegle Naw. I had chicken in the oven and I always put a timer on when I cook like that. I can get engrossed in something and let it burn if I'm not careful.
