Get Pushed 509
Food, beverages and music. A nice evening for gathering with friends. My challenge was to photograph a street scene. The challenge for me was to find a scene or subject to shoot. Seems most of the street activity goes on at local "watering holes."
How fortunate the weather was nice and this crowd was enjoying the outdoor seating! I agree with Katy @grammyn about the blue. Really ties the scene together nicely. I think you could crop the right side — pole and everything to its right, and not lose anything. All the people, except one partial view of a seated person, are to the left.
@grammyn I suspect they did that (umbrellas and roof color) on purpose. Don't you? @mcsiegle I thought it would show the band playing better than it did. They were on the right. You make a good point. Thanks Mary @shutterbug49 It's popular, although I've never been there. I don't care that much for beer. @joemuli It's been there and been added to for a number of years. They brew their own beer here and also have a place in Asheville which is about 55 miles from here. @jnr Thanks Jim. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian. @kjarn Thanks Kathy. @jamibann Thanks Issi. @pusspup Thanks Wylie. I'm not much for beer joints anymore but they seem to be popular no matter how small the town. @wakelys Thanks Sue. @craftymeg Thanks Meg. @olivetreeann Yes, I do believe Mary was spot on. The photo was not well composed, but it was a drive by. Thanks Ann. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry.
@randystreat if they are all part of the same business it stands to reason but I wasn’t sure that what was in the back was part of what was in the front.
well, you sure pushed back hard. this is street photography. aces!
in here, restaurants, bistros and pubs are getting good business as those are the places one can go and be excused not wearing a mask. we still have a mask mandate as well as physical distancing. most people obey, but more are dissenters and sometimes they ridicule the ones who are wearing masks. what i hate is lining up at the store to pay, and the person behind me thinks the line will move quicker if he or she is practically on my back. never mind not observing physical distancing, but at least respect my space. and they get mad quite often when told.

@summerfield Thanks Vikki. Perhaps you should carry a long umbrella - the kind with the 4 inch metal point.
