Get Pushed 526
My partner this week challenged me to a panorama, suggesting it could do it as a collage for the Hockney artist challenge.
Challenge #1 - When I think of panorama, I always think of landscape, although I realize after a bit of research that isn't always true. However, I went after the landscape panorama. This is a challenge because to get the good light means early morning or late afternoon/evening. Mornings were out this week, and I didn't want to drive too far to get a good view in the evenings this week either. So it had to be close to home. I guess you all have seen most of the vistas that are photographic, so tried to find something a bit different. Actually, this one's been used before too, but not like this.
Challenge #2 - the Hockney collage. Too late I realized that lots of photos would have been better, but instead I went after it through Photoshop. Now I'm no photoshop expert. Nor could I totally wrap my head around the artist's collage technique until I saw a photo of him laying out photos around him on the floor. aha! I said. Individual photographs. Went much less frustratingly after realizing that.
@kali66 - Well first of all let me apologize to you. I realized that I did not respond to the original challenge post. Then, I will say, thank you and that you gave me a terrific challenge. My brain hasn't worked this hard for awhile. I had a fun time after I got over the hump of figuring out how to do this. I hope this is what you had in mind.
Oh, Kathy ! It turned out beautifully. I was going to tell you today to take LOTS of photosn and combine them but you figured it out! Fantastic and a FAV
I appreciate the views and comments and favs that you all have given this image. It was a challenge and quite a relief when it was finished. Your encouragement has made it all worthwhile. Thank you.
