Merry Christmas to you too- yes, we did something different this year. We went to church but afterwards we made our way to the ICU where I recovered from Covid and brought some goodies to those who were on duty. I also brought along one of the crazy pictures I took with my cell phone while recovering and a poem of thanks I'd written. I don't know who was more moved by this- the nurses or me!
@mcsiegle Thank you Mary- it has been on my heart and mind to do this for some time. When I was disappointed to not be with my sons and their families on the actual day of Christmas, I felt it was time to look outside myself and do something completely different. Once again I thought of all those who had so lovingly cared for me after I came out of my coma and immediately knew that was the way to spend Christmas.
