Still life #2

Get-Pushed Challenge 431
My get pushed partner suggested that I set up a simple still life, maybe a glass bottle or vase with a flower or grasses in it, and a solid object such as a figurine or fruit, shell or rock. Place these near a window in your home and through the week notice how the light changes and take photographs of them at different times of day, just whenever you get a chance. Set your camera to black and white to simplify matters. At the end of the week select one or two of your favorites.
First challenge was that although I set the camera up to do b&w, it didn't. So the photos are post processed to change them from color to b&w. The second challenge was the table I set the still life on. I realized it was low, below the window, but since I had started I kept on like I had started.
@kali66 This is the second photo for your challenge. I thank you for giving me this challenge. As noted in the photo comment, it pointed out some things I would not have thought of.

Better lighting for this one- pulls up the highlights and makes the dark spots bolder too.
