Stikliu Street by redandwhite

Stikliu Street

Hard to believe from its smart, tranquil appearance, that this was the entry to the Vilnius Ghetto during the war. Vilnius was know as the Jerusalem of the North because it had Europe's largest Jewish community and was the centre for Jewish learning. There is still an air of sadness in Vilnius . . .
Interesting architecture and colours - are cars allowed in those tiny streets?

A great leading line with the street. Thanks for supplying the information to go with this image.
