Being 4th of July, I had 'amber waves of grain' on my mind and was struck by how very many different grasses and seed heads there were in the fields in which we walked. Knowing my chances of getting a decent photo were nil with the breeze blowing and the cluttered background in the field, I collected 15 or 20 different sorts and took them home. Still not easy to photograph, but this one appealed to my fondness of lines and angles.
That little bit of breeze is so difficult when you are trying to take a photo of grasses and flowers, but this is just beautiful. I really like the angle, the shadows and reflections. There is always a way to beat the wind!! Fav
