Elusive

Thirty years ago I saw a priest ascending these steps, robes flowing, and thought what a good photo that would make. Of course I had no camera. Today a priest ascended those steps. His robe was not flowing and he went up hunched over, so that elusive photo still eludes me. This is a very pale imitation of what I still hope to get one day.
For me this would be impressive even without the priest. Love the shadow pattern of the handrail going up the stone steps, the framing by the arch and the light at the top drawing the eye inwards. Def fav

It is a lovely shot for all the reasons that @fbailey said. I like the shadows formed from the handrail. Hope you get the shot you are after one day.

This is a beautiful shot - love the arch and the staircase. One day you will get the flowing robe!

Well I would hold out for that. The stone work is beautiful and this is great as it is. The figure might be hunched but it doesn't intrude on the image and yet tells of more to discover beyond the steps and around the corner.
